The New Mexico State Capitol. Santa Fe, N.M.
Vintage linen postcard from the private collection of Valerie Mockaitis. Published by Curteich-Chicago circa 1955.
The old capitol underwent many alterations, resulting in this sprawling building. The original, 3-story capitol can be seen, without its dome or portico, behind the tower. The new capitol was completed in 1966, and this is now the Bataan Memorial Building.

State Capitol, Santa Fe, New Mexico
Historical photo circa 1900.
The construction of this capitol started in 1895 and finished in 1900, about the time of this photo. The young, leafless trees allow a wonderful view of the old capitol.
